Shinjuku Gyoen is a sprawling oasis, perfect for a quick break from the hustle and bustle of Shinjuku city. For just 500 yen you can enter this botanical masterpiece and enjoy the flower arrangement and the various amenities within. There are plenty of benches to rest your feet and have a bento as well.
I like to drop by this location every time I am in Tokyo. The contrast of nature with the skyscrapers in the background is fantastic. Walking around for 30 minutes is definitely a great way to recharge your battery. If I worked in Shinjuku I would find myself coming here every day!
