It is rare that an image looks exactly like its real life counterpart. This location is one of those rare exceptions. Nikko is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous fall destinations I have seen.
I did a lot of research before heading to Japan to ensure that I would make the most of the fall season. This location was high on my priority list. However, despite being amazing at the images I saw of Shinkyo Bridge online, I had tempered expectations. When I arrived, I was blown away to see the colors and glossy contrast be so true to life. The mist coming over the mountains and the overcast weather only added to the effect.
